BTEC Introductory Diploma in Construction

This course will cover the following content:

* Practical experience in various chosen aspects of construction:
- Bricklaying, carpentry, painting and decorating, mechanical and electrical installations
* Learning about the sector as a whole and ‘upskilling’
* Learning to work as a team
* Planning tasks
* Preparing for interviews and work placements
* Money Management
* Health & Safety at Work

BTEC Introductory Diploma in Small Animal and Pet Care

This course will cover the following content:

* Practical experience in looking after small pets and animals
* Learning about the sector as a whole and ‘upskilling’
* Learning to work as a team
* Planning tasks
* Preparing for interviews and work placements
* Money Management
* Health & Safety at Work

For students working between Entry Level 1 and 3 we offer:

Practical Life & Work Skills - Entry Level 1/2

This course will cover:
* Developing skills for daily living to include
- using community facilities, creative skills, keeping fit and healthy
* Skills for daily life i.e. Shopping, cooking and budgeting, developing personal care and presentation skills
* Taking part in an enterprise activity

Practical Work Skills Entry Level 3

This course will cover:
* Skills for working life to include
- Applying for a job, Going for an interview, My role at work, Travelling to and from work.
* Students will also have the opportunity to maintain a work placement and take part in voluntary work or an enterprise.
